I have an art degree concentrating in fibers and printmaking, no this doesn't mean I majored in yarn, although I did meet a boy once who majored in soil which is much more depressing. I took classes in shibori, dyeing, basketry, silk painting, papermaking, weaving, digital textiles, silk screening, intaglio, xerox prints, lithographs, stone, solar plates, and monoliths and monotypes. I've also taken classes in metals, painting, drawing, graphic design and have a minor in psych (I dig the Jung man!). I embroider patches and clothing. I also sew purses and other things when my machine works, stencil and paint teeshirts, make fun cards from old 50's mags, coil lots of baskets and of course make squids with their own personalities and names that I'll be sure to post lots of pictures of.
